Downshifting tasks into free time only

Feature Request

When I’m running behind schedule during the day, I’d like to be able to shift my tasks down a bit without shifting all remaining tasks for the day. I have my evening routine locked in, so when I get behind schedule, I have to shift all tasks individually to avoid messing up my evening timing. And since I can’t zoom out, I have to just guess how far down I need to move the bottom task because time math is a foreign language to me. I’ve thought of a few ways this can be done:

-Add the ability to select multiple tasks to move them at once.

-if shifting the schedule down moves locked tasks, add the option to move all unlocked/non-recurring tasks

-change the down arrow to move only the tasks from the current time into available time slots. If trying to shift down into occupied space, notify the user that there is a task in the way and give the option to either skip the occupied time slot or add the task to the moving block of tasks.

    I’m sorry that you’ve not found the multi select option! It’s in the “…” menu in the Schedule.

    I’ll work to make this more apparent in the app in the next release—it’s notably absent from the Feature Gallery (with all the videos). Thanks for the feedback, and I hope this helps!

      Ah! I see now! I saw the view options and stopped looking further down the menu because ADHD. Since there’s already a button at the top left to toggle the view, I would suggest making that button show the view menu with a long press or just toggle through all the views instead of just the two it does right now. Reduces redundancy and then the top right menu can be for the editing options. I have no experience coding though, so I have no idea if that would be too complicated of a shift.

      Side note: that response time was IMPECCABLE! I’ve never had such a quick response from an app support team, and I just want to say that it really shows how much you appreciate your users! ❤️

        Thanks so much for sharing your experience Madison! This is a great point and certainly something worth looking into; I’m always trying to make better decisions to make the app more user friendly, and I really appreciate you sharing this idea!

        And regarding the response time—of course! Only a tiny fraction of users reach out with feedback, even though it’s extremely valuable, so I feel that addressing concerns quickly is the least I can do 🫶🏻
