“Free time left” indicator

Hello, It might be interesting or helpful to have the option to toggle on/off an indication of the amount of unscheduled time we have left in the day. I like the 5-minute increment view. As it is, you can’t see the entire day at once with this view.  If someone were to ask me “hey, do you have 15 minutes to hop on a call, today?” having a quick indicator of how much free time I have left, without scrolling up and down my schedule, could be helpful. If it says “1 hour free”, I could easily answer ‘yes’ and then look through my schedule to see where it fits or what can be moved around. Also, for people who tend to get sidetracked and procrastinate, for example going down a social media or YouTube rabbit hole suddenly, it may be helpful if one can visually see that number whenever opening their schedule, and knows “I’ve already planned my day out, and I only have 1 hour free today. Do I really want to be spending 20 minutes of it on this?” Kind regards, James

Integrated Habit Tracker

When inputting a task, there is an option to make it a habit. If checked, the person will need to choose a recurring schedule. The task/habit will appear with a number next to it (next to or where the recurring symbol usually is). The number will indicate the current streak (how many consecutive times it has been completed). There will also be a button at the bottom, maybe between “schedule” and “settings”, for “habits”. This will take you to a list of just the habits, where you can edit, add, click on individual habits to see more data, etc. Apple Calendar shows calendar events and reminders, Google Calendar shows events and reminders (“tasks”), Readle Calendars does the same— but the only app, I’ve come across, that shows events, tasks, AND habits, all on the calendar, is TickTick. You can put a habit into your calendar on TickTick, just as if it were an event. And you can go to a separate page for all your habits. This removes the need for a separate app for habit tracking. However, in my opinion, one place where TickTick falls slightly short, is that every habit appears on the calendar the exact same size. It takes up a 30 minute space I think (or 15)— I can’t remember exactly and haven’t paid to use their calendar it in a while, but they’re all the same size. So, if I want to create and track the habit “Daily Writing”, and I want to do it for one or two hours, consistently, regardless it will only show as a 30 minute block on my calendar. Just like in Apple and Google calendars, how you’re unable to “stretch” a reminder to fill more space—if you know it’s going to take 2 hours, it only lets the reminder take up the size of a 30 minute slot.

Customisable Eisenhower Matrix

I would love to see another tab on the bottom where the fuse/ schedule tab is for the Eisenhower Matrix. Completely customisable for even better planning experience. Eg: start with 4 quadrants as a standard but one can add more (I would prsonally add 6) and can edit the name of the quadrants. The tasks listed on the task tab will appear on the ‘not urgent’ quadrant with a checkbox and a drag and drop system so one can move them around the quadrants. (Pic from the other app - which sucks btw lol) I would love to see this feature because I’m currently using another app for this, and it’s bugging me so much I’m not able to do so within your app! I’ve been using your app for less tan 24 hours, and I love it. I think I will pay for the pro version at the end of the trial, because it’s really worth it. THANK YOU <3</p>

"Things 3" integration

Developer note: A true integration with Things is unfortunately an unlikely possibility, as the developer of Things deliberately makes it very difficult to build such an integration. I’ve created this feature request entry for reference, but barring some change of heart by the Things developers, it remains largely infeasible. That said, in the meantime, it is worth noting that you can drag & drop from Things (or any other app) into TimeFinder on desktop (Mac & Windows).

Travel/ prep time built in

It would be great if travel time could be automatically added on either side of appointments- when an appointment or task is entered there is an option to choose time blocks: 15, 30, 45 minutes, etc. that are added either ahead of the task (in case of prep time), or both before and after the task (to account for round trip travel time). I would like to visually see the start time and duration of the appointment, so adding travel time to the event would make it all one color block. And manually adding travel blocks before and after just takes more time and effort! Thanks

List Option: Repeating Tasks

When creating lists, please add the option to set how often the task should be completed. Example: When adding tasks to a list of chores, provide the option to add how often those tasks need to be completed. Based on the selected schedule, tasks will be suggested at the top of the schedule. Likewise, on this list, when a task is completed in the schedule it is either not marked as completed in the list, or it can be marked as completed until the task is due to be completed again.

List-to-List Split View

The app currently allows selecting and moving a task from one list to another, but I would love to see an interface where I could easily drag tasks between lists. The way my workflow works, I use the urgent and important quadrant, so I have lists: urgent and important, not urgent but important, urgent but not important, not urgent and not important. Tasks flow between these lists regularly as priorities and urgencies change.

Repeat on completion

Please add a "Repeat on Completion" (or "Repeat after completion") option for recurring tasks. How it should work: When enabled, the next occurrence of the task is automatically scheduled based on the date/time you actually complete the current instance — not on a fixed calendar schedule. Example: You have a task set to "Repeat every 3 days." You complete it on Monday → the next one appears on Thursday. If you complete it late on Wednesday → the next one appears 3 days after Wednesday. Why this is useful: Perfect for habits, chores, maintenance tasks, or anything where consistency matters more than hitting exact calendar dates. Prevents tasks from piling up or becoming overdue when life gets in the way. Complements TimeFinder’s flexible, adaptive time-blocking philosophy. This is a very popular feature in other task apps (often called "Repeat from completion date") and would be a huge win for users who want realistic recurring routines.

Default Appointment Notification setting

This request entails two new features: The ability to enable/disable an appointment’s notification when it is being created, and… Allow users to enable or disable the default setting for reminder notifications for new tasks in Settings Details: Currently the button to enable/disable the Reminder Notification for an appointment button is not visible when making a new appointment—it is only visible in the page that appears when tapping on an existing appointment. Showing this button in the toolbar when making an appointment would be great so I can adjust it without clicking out and back in. It would also be nice to be able to set a global default setting for this toggle in Settings.

Focus Timer sometimes randomly stops

Hey Luke, I have noticed, that when I open the TimeFinder App, sometimes the Focus Session is lost and the task is marked as completed though I did not finish the task yet. Also maybe as a feature request: Is it possible in strict mode to always have the focus mode running and updating the length by itself based on the timeline entries? That would be pretty nice. Often I stretch a task out when I want to focus for longer but then I have to “reset” the focus mode otherwise the wrong time ist displayed. Thanks in advance 😊

Reoccurring locked tasks

Previously, when I unlocked a recurring locked task, TimeFinder asked whether I wanted to unlock only that occurrence or that occurrence and all future occurrences. In v9.7.4 (2397) on Android, unlocking only affects the current occurrence and there is no option to unlock future recurring instances. Was this feature removed, or is this a bug?

Focus Mode / Time Worked data disappears if task time is edited

Hello, After completing a task in Focus Mode, the task goes to the completed tasks section. There, one has the option of pressing the allotted time value to bring up options to modify the value. When doing so, the Time Worked duration resets to 0:00 and is lost. Thus far, I haven’t found any way to recover the lost value. Ted

Ability to "Zoom out" to view entire day

Could there be an option to zoom out on the weekly calendar screen so I can see everything I have going on all day and night for the entire week? Or am I unaware that capability already exists? Right now I have to scroll to see the entire day.  It would be ideal if i could zoom out to see say… 5am to 9pm. Thanks!

Allow "splitting up" a long task when a smaller one is dropped on it

There are times where I have a task scheduled for a large chunk of time. Then, there are things that interrupt that task and I’d like to just drag another task from the list into the slot where the other task overruled and TimeFinder “split” the larger task schedule automatically. As I mention in the comment in the screenshots, it would be nice for a task that has “split” another task to “eat up” the other task as it’s dragged down versus trying to push the other task down. It might even be nice to support this through maybe long-press on the expanding lines and then dragging. Also, having an “undo” button for fixing any mistakes would be nice.
