Light/Dark theme corresponding color palettes

In the day, darker/bolder colors contrast with the light themed app. At night, lighter colors contrast with dark theme. Wondering if one could create two color schemes, one corresponding with the light theme and one for dark. Essentially each light theme color could have a dark theme pair, that way when someone colors something while in the light theme, that event will automatically have the corresponding dark theme color attributed to it as well, and vice versa.
