Auto-lock tasks created from specific lists

When dragging and dropping from certain lists to create tasks, automatically set them as locked/immutable - similar to how calendar-synced events are auto-locked. This would be helpful for managing collections of fixed commitments (like work meetings) that are frequently created from the same list.

While TimeFinder already auto-locks calendar imports and supports individual task locking, extending auto-lock behavior to list-sourced tasks would streamline the workflow for managing fixed time blocks.

Hey there, thanks for the feedback! If I understand your request correctly, TimeFinder already supports what you’re looking for, in its “Locked Task” feature.

You can see a demo of this feature (as well as all TimeFinder’s other features) in the Settings tab; I’ve recorded a demo here showing how to get there, as well as the demo of the Locked Task feature.

Let me know if this helps, or if I’ve misunderstood. Happy to help. Thank you!

That is very close. I would just like to lock all task related to a color. A list could be color specific which would create all tasks in that list as locked. Imported meetings should be auto locked on. Finally in the video you move 2 15 mins task; what if the task is 2 hours long, I’d like to wrap the 2 hour task around the locked meeting ( not just 2 hours before or after the meeting but say 1 hour before and 1 hour after)

        • Lock all tasks related to a color

          • This is a new one—I’ll have to think about how we could do that.

        • Imported meeting should be auto locked

          • This is in fact already the case—all tasks imported from Calendar Sync are locked by default

        • The circumstance where you’d like to wrap a 2 hour event around a locked event

          • This is already possible as well, using the Minimizing Tasks feature

You can learn about these features and many more in the Discover TimeFinder’s Best Features section in settings—it’s loaded with video tutorials of tips and tricks that you might not otherwise be aware of.

I hope this helps. And if you haven’t already, please consider leaving a 5-star review on the App Store, it helps a lot. Thank you!
