Sub tasks

Are sub tasks being phased out? I had sub tasks on some recurring tasks that disappeared a while back. For a few weeks, I could make them reappear by clicking to add one then hitting Next twice. That stopped working a week or two ago. Today, I deleted the task and started over, adding back my sub tasks. That worked until the quick update later this morning. The sub tasks disappeared again with that.
